The TDC appointed seats are comprised of three elected officials, three representatives from accommodations collecting the tourist tax, and three representatives from tourism-related industries, as directed by Florida Statute 125.0104.
The Tourist Development Council (TDC) and staff at Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches are responsible for making recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on matters relating to the Tourist Development Tax. This tax is used to strengthen the local economy and increase employment through the ongoing promotion and development of tourism, one of Flagler County’s major industries.
